Military Appreciation Day Around the League
Teams around the NFL took the time to show their appreciation for members of the military during dedicated days at Training Camp. Take a look into a small sample of some of the events held around the country.
The Redskins dedicated an entire day for military members and their families. Military Appreciation Day presented by GEICO Military was held on Satruda, July 20 and boasted a full day of activities. From VIP access, a chalk talk with team personnel to a special Military Appreciation Viewing Area, the Redskins gave their guests and exclusive look into the preparation for the 2017 season.
The Falcons sported special camouflage jerseys during their military appreciation day in Flowery Branch, GA. The team invited families of TAPS (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors) to take photographs and get autographs from the Falcons squad.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Bucs invitied military members and their families to a closed morning practice. The team had a formal presentation of colors prior to practice along with a bugle-solo national anthem. The stadns were packed with guests from all branches of the military. After practice, guests participated in a NFL Boot camp and were coached by Tampa Bay players Mike Evans, Keith Tandy, Joe Hawley, Evan Smith and Alan Cross.
