Salute to Service Moment :: Joint Base Andrews Visit

The Redskins and USAA teamed up for their annual Military Unit Interaction on Monday, October 30.

Four Redskins players visited Joint Base Andrews to learn more about what service members do every day to keep our country safe. They were led on a guided tour of the base, learned more about the history of the 113th wing of the D.C Air National Guard, and got to look at some equipment and F-16 fighter jets. The event concluded with a meet and greet with service members.

“It’s very important to us because it’s the interaction with the community. Obviously we see the professional athletes play, but this is the opportunity for them to come see what we do” said Col. Robert D Bowie, the vice commander of the 113th wing.
