Recap: Redskins Alumni Pack 4 Troops
For the second year in a row, a part of the Redskins alumni homecoming weekend included a community service event. After a successful 2017 care package event, the alumni took to the USO Warrior and Family Center at Bethesda to create even more care packages for our country's military.
Over 100 alumni visited the USO Center to create over 1,000 care packages. To make things speed up, there was a special competition to see which position group could pack the fastest! Luckily the entire group was quick on their feet and it resulted in a tie.
The day wrapped up with a lunch catered by Chuy's along with a Chalk Talk featuring Ken Harvey, Mark Rypien and Joe Jacoby. Service members and their families on base were able to mingle with alumni upon the conclusion of the event.
