Salute to Service Moment :: Redskins vs. Texans

On Sunday, November 18, the Redskins honored Legend James Water for his service in the marine corps.

Legend James Waters, was born in San Diego, California on March 4th, 1995. He is  the youngest of three children in our family

His father, Brent Waters served in the USMC for 17 years. He currently resides in Oceanside, California. He has a daughter, Ivy Rose (3) and wife. My Wife, Becki Kate Waters, resides with me here in Washington, D.C.

He attended high school at Beverly Hills High School in California. There, he played multiple sports including football, wrestling, and lacrosse, but his main hobby was lifting weights.

Before he joined the Marine Corps, Legend worked a lot of different types of construction jobs. Mainly because my father taught me various different skills when it comes to construction.

Legend attended boot camp in February of 2017. It was the toughest challenge he has ever experienced. After graduating he headed to Camp Pendleton to attend infantry training school where he learned how to do my duties as a USMC rifleman.

Waters’ main reason to joining the USMC was his father and daughter. He has a child to support and a legacy to carry out from his father. He always looked at him as a squared away man and he always told me it was because of the Marine Corps.
