Salute to Service Moment :: Redskins vs. Giants

On Sunday, December 9, the Redskins honored Erik Young & Charles Metts of the Air Force along with Ronald Wood of the Navy.

Senior Airman Young joined the United States Air Force in December of 2014. His home town is Waldorf, Maryland. He enlisted as a 2T2, Ariel Porter then crossed trained to a 2T3 vehicle mechanic currently assigned to the 113th wg at Andrews Air Force Base. He was the 113th’s Outstanding Airman of the Year in 2017, and is married to April Young with two kids Aryelle & Erik II.

Staff Sergent Charles Metts joined the United States Air Force in November 2011. His hometown is Mocksville, North Carolina. He enlisted as a Mental Health Technician and is currently assigned to the 11th Medical Squadron at Joint Base Anacostia Bolling. He was awarded 11th Medical Squadron NCO of the Year for 2017. He is married to Kristina Metts and has 2 year old twins (Eli and Riley) and is expecting another child in May 2019.

AZ2 Wood joined the Navy in Feb 2006. His home town is Washington DC. He is currently enlisted and stationed at FRC Norfolk, in Norfolk Virginia. He has one son Maleik Wood.
